at morning star we only serve full-leaf tea because it's simply better tasting and provides a larger range of flavors than the cut leaves or tea dust you will find in most tea bags.  our fine teas are made from hand-picked young shoots, to produce the most flavorful cup of tea.  the whole leaves retain their unique essential oils and are full-bodied and deliciously aromatic.

when brewed, fine tea leaves unfold luxuriantly in fresh hot water, offering up their complex characters at a gentle pace.  our moroccan mint tea, for example, is blended from fragrant mint and "gunpowder" tea leaves, which are tightly rolled into pellets that retain essential oils for more flavor and aroma.

 

black teas

british breakfast  -  a robust blend of quality black teas.  mixture of china, india, ceylon & kenya leaves that sets a new taste standard for this classic. Great with milk.

 

darjeeling  -  darjeeling tea blend is smooth & characteristic of second flush leaves with deep, lush qualities of third flush leaves.   full flavor from start to finish.

 

lapsang souchong  -  smoky character of our lapsang souchong is achieved through a delicate process.  leaves are smoked over pinewood embers achieving purity & clarity.

black blended teas

mango ceylon  -  is light & sweet while intoxicatingly fragrant.  mango & marigold blossoms are blended with superior ceylon tea leaves to produce an uplifting cup.

 

earl greyer  -  bergamot orange is a citrus fruit native to northern italy.  this classic uses ceylon leaves combined with top grade bergamot oil.

 

ginger peach  -  a sweet lushness of a fancy peach & a tingle of spicy ginger. voted "outstanding beverage", national specialty food trade.

 

green teas

tea of inquiry  -  green tea with toasted rice.  fire-toasted rice and large green sencha tea leaves are blended to produce this smooth, toasty brew.

 

moroccan mint  -  "tea of good health" cool & refreshing, this brew is traditionally sipped from glass teacups with an over-indulgence of sugar. a blend of peppermint leaves & fragrant gunpowder green tea.

caffeine free teas

desert sage  -  two native american herbs, desert tea & white sage create a deep earthy brew. orange bergamot mint & blackberry leaves lend a sweet finish. good hot or over ice.

 

mate latte  -  cocoa & brazilian mate', roasted leaf rich in vitamin c with small amount of natural caffeine. rooibos cactus flowers & almonds add depth. Add steamed milk for herbal latte.

 

chamomile lemon  -  chamomile is blended with lemon balm, linden flowers & orange blossoms to produce a fragrant cup.  these botanicals surrender a most sweet & tranquil tea.
